Guild Wars 2 Gold: Bad Names and Behaviors

Guild Wars 2 Gold: Bad Names and Behaviors

Assuming we are all adults or at least have experience playing MMORPG, we all have an idea on what not to do in the game. For Guild Wars 2, there are also set of rules that have to be followed. We are quite ignorant to these because it’s either we didn’t read it or just passed by it and ignored it. So if ever there is something that we did against the policies of Guild Wars 2, ignorance wouldn’t be an excuse.

Guild Wars 2 Gold: Reminder from ArenaNet

This might be an old post coming from ArenaNet but it is still in good practice that we get reminded by it especially in creating character names and behaving inside the game. Here is the original reminder posted by ArenaNetSupportTeam from Reddit:

We want to clear up some of the confusion about GW2 name and behavior suspensions. To keep Guild Wars 2 a pleasant place to be, we take action against racist names, hate speech, and other unacceptable behavior. We have suspended some accounts involved in the use of offensive character names or inappropriate chat. The number of account blocks is miniscule: less than .001% of our total player base.

When an account is blocked for a chat offense, the account is given a three-day suspension. When an account is blocked for an offensive name, the player is required to rename the character name and, in most cases, the account is also given a three-day suspension.

We have reviewed all the name suspensions currently in place. Where we could give some leeway, we removed the account suspension, which will allow those players to rename the character and rejoin the game. However, for substantially offensive names, we will keep the full three-day suspensions in effect.

In a few posts on Reddit and on fan forums, players have claimed they were suspended for using a harmless-sounding character name, when in fact they were suspended for a different and truly offensive character name on their account. Others claimed that they were not told why they were suspended, but the game does give a message that states the reason for the suspension. In every case we have double-checked, the action taken on the account was appropriate.

However, we’d like to clear up any misconceptions. If you think you were unfairly suspended, or if you’d like to know the specific chat or character name that got you suspended, post your character name and we’ll reply in graphic detail with the reason for the block. Warning: NSFW ahead!

You can read our name policy here. You can get a lot of good info about GW2 support policies in this doc.

It is a good way to remind ourselves that even though living a life in the digital world, we still have to concern ourselves with the rules and regulations since there are other people as well playing the game. They might find it offensive or worse, they might feel that Guild Wars 2 is not a fun and safe environment anymore due to lack of application of the rules.

GW2 Gold: Revenant

GW2 Gold: Revenant

Last time we took a glimpse of Guardian. We move forward, now taking a look on another Guild Wars 2 Profession, the Revenant.

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: What is Revenant

“Channel legendary powers to slaughter foes and unleash chaos on the battlefield with our brand new profession: the revenant. Enter the field of battle heavily armored and equipped with the otherworldly powers of the Mists.

— guilwars2.com”

“Revenants channel the power of the Mists. As a soldier profession, revenants wear heavy armor. The revenant profession is available to players who have purchased the Heart of Thorns expansion”

– Guild Wars 2 Wiki

Revenant is one of the unique classes (professions) that I have encounter in any MMORPG. By changing stances, Revenant can change its role in the game. Basically, it can easily change from damage to heal or support by changing stances (and weapon).

Let us take a look on some of Revenant’s abilities (from wiki):

Profession mechanic

Revenants can channel the Mists to invoke the powers of certain legendary figures of the past.

Energy

Revenants use a resource called energy, which regenerates over time. Activating skills uses energy, some even degenerating energy while active, making energy management critical for gameplay.

Legends

The revenant can have two legendary stances equipped, and of these only one can be active at any given time. As well as weapon swapping they can swap between channeling two legends. Channeling replaces the last five skill slots on the skill bar, depending on the current legend: the healing skill, three utility skills, and the elite skill. Revenant traits tend to synergize with the skill set, similar to a skill type.[1]

When channeling a spirit, the interface changes slightly to reflect the spirit channeled. For instance, when channeling Jalis, ice spikes are seen behind the utility skills, while when channeling Ventari, yellow leaves can be seen.

Legendary Assassin Stance — Invoke the power of the legendary assassin Shiro Tagachi.

Legendary Centaur Stance — Invoke the power of the legendary centaur Ventari.

Legendary Demon Stance — Invoke the power of the legendary demon Mallyx the Unyielding.

Legendary Dwarf Stance — Invoke the power of the legendary dwarf king Jalis Ironhammer.

Legendary Dragon Stance — Invoke the power of the legendary dragon Glint. (Herald specialization only)

As the wiki reinforces, the Revenant has multiple stances and you can change to your desired role or fighting style. This makes the Revenant so versatile and can adjust to what the team needs. We take a look on Revenant’s Special Skills and Specialization on the next post.

GW2 Gold: Guardian

GW2 Gold: Guardian

Let us continue on our rundown on the different professions in Guild Wars 2. This time, let us take a look at Guardian.

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: Description

Guardians are devoted fighters who protect their allies and smite their enemies by drawing from the power of their virtues. True guardians are brilliant tacticians and selfless defenders who know when to sacrifice their own defenses to empower their allies to achieve victory. – guildwars2.com

Basically they are tanks in a typical holy trinity MMORPG. Guardians are tough and hard to kill. It would take two to three people to kill one if a Guardian has a healer supporting him.

Let us take a look at some skills that makes a Guardian solid. (from guildwars2.com)

Virtues

Guardians can elect to relinquish the benefits granted by the virtues and extend their protective power to nearby allies. This ability makes the guardian an excellent supportive fighter whether they are leading an assault or defending your party’s flanks.

   Justice

The fire of Justice burns the enemies of guardians. With Justice, every fifth attack burns their opponents.

   Courage

With Courage, guardians can shrug off even a mighty blow. Every 40 seconds this virtue is active, guardians are   granted Aegis, which blocks the next incoming attack.

   Resolve

Through Resolve, guardians passively regenerate health, allowing them to wade into the most dangerous situation and come out alive.

Special Skills

Guardians have a number of special skill types to choose from. Here are two skill types that typify the guardian:

   Spirit Weapons

Guardians can summon spirit weapons to fight at their side for a limited time. Spirit weapons can be commanded to inflict a powerful attack before disappearing. For example, Hammer of Wisdom can be commanded to knock down an enemy before it vanishes.

   Shouts

Guardians use shouts to aid allies or hinder enemies within earshot. Defensive shouts such as “Hold the Line!” grant protection and regeneration to nearby allies.

So if you are the type of player that loves to protect your allies because you’re unbreakable, the Guardian is a good choice for you!

Guild Wars 2 Account: Mesmer

For today let us take a look at a profession in Guild Wars 2, Mesmer. Mesmer is the master of illusions, phantasms, and creating confusion. So if you are into creating illusions to attack for you and confuse the enemies with various skills, then Mesmer is the right one for you. Mesmer is one of the difficult professions to master so let us take a look at the basics from the wiki.

Let us take a look on Mesmer’s Special Skill Types as they make this profession unique compared to other professions:

Special skill types

  • Illusions— Physical representations of the caster. Most require a target and are dispelled when the target dies or if the Mesmer uses a Shatter skill. Up to three illusions can be maintained. There are two types of illusions:
    • Clones— Have the caster’s appearance, main-hand weapon, and name. Clones have 3200 base health at level 80, but do very low damage and will use the slot 1 skill associated with the caster’s weapon (with the special effect [if any] associated with the slot 1 skill).
    • Phantasms— Appear as ethereal images of the caster, but take up the name of the skill (e.g. Phantasmal Duelist) instead of the caster’s name. They have their own weapons that range in different appearances and behaviors. Phantasms have higher damage and health than clones.
  • Mantras— Mantras are healing or utility skills which must be prepared before use. This offset of long preparation time is rewarded with a sequence skill which can be activated instantly and even in the middle of another action.
  • Glamours- Glamours are utility skills which create shining fields on the ground, which have helpful effects on allies or harmful effects on enemies.
  • Manipulations- Manipulations are utility skills used to evade attacks, mislead opponents, redirect forces or to simply escape from a deadly situation.

Having an idea now as to what Mesmer can do, it is now time to create one and try it out! Mesmer is difficult but when you master it, the fun is limitless!

GW2 Gold: Professions

GW2 Gold: Professions

Guild Wars 2 players can choose between different professions. Each has unique attacks and roles for different challenges in the game. As different players have different styles, for sure a profession will fit perfectly in one’s players playing preference. Let us take a look on what players can play as in Guild Wars 2

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: Choices

These brief information came from the Guild Wars 2 website:

Mesmer

  • Mesmers are magical duelists who wield deception as a weapon. Using powerful illusions, clones, and phantasmal magic to confuse and distract their foes, mesmers make sure every fight is balanced in their favor and their opponents can’t believe their eyes.

Guardian

  • Guardians are devoted fighters who protect their allies and smite their enemies by drawing from the power of their virtues. True guardians are brilliant tacticians and selfless defenders who know when to sacrifice their own defenses to empower their allies to achieve victory.

Necromancer

  • Practitioners of the dark arts, necromancers summon the dead, wield the power of lost souls, and literally suck the life force from the enemy. Necromancers feed on life force, which they can use to bring allies back from the brink or cheat death itself.

Ranger

  • Rangers rely on a keen eye, a steady hand, and the power of nature itself. Unparalleled archers, rangers are capable of bringing down foes from a distance with their bows. With traps, nature spirits, and a stable of loyal pets at their command, rangers can adapt to any situation.

Elementalist

  • Elementalists are multi-faceted spellcasters that channel elemental forces, making fire, air, earth, and water do their bidding. What they lack in physical toughness, they make up in versatility and the ability to inflict massive damage in a single attack

Warrior

  • Warriors are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle. Adrenaline fuels their offensive power—the longer warriors stay in a fight, the more dangerous they become.

Thief

  • Experts at stealth and surprise, thieves can move through the shadows, vanish into thin air, or steal items from their opponents and use them as weapons. Thieves practice an agile, acrobatic fighting style, which can make them very hard to hit.

Engineer

  • Masters of mechanical mayhem, engineers love to tinker with explosives, elixirs, and all manner of hazardous gadgets. They can take control of an area by placing turrets, support their allies with alchemic weaponry, or lay waste to foes with a wide array of mines, bombs, and grenades.

GW2 Account: Good / Bad Guild

GW2 Account: Good / Bad Guild

Last time we talked about what are the benefits of joining a guild in Guild Wars 2 that also is true to, if not all, most MMORPG out there. Now, let’s tackle on how to distinguish a good guild and separate it from a bad guild.

Buy Guild Wars 2 Account: Bad Guild

How can you say that a guild is a bad one? It is easy but at the same time hard. It is really confusing to be honest and one’s opinion may vary from another player on this topic. Here are some of my general definitions of a bad guild:

  • Too many members – if you are looking for an end game group and expecting them to be your guildmates, having too many members in that guild is problematic. Most of the time only one main raiding team is active in a guild and it will be chaos among members who will be a part of it. This won’t happen if your guildmaster is great in handling in this kind of stuff but most likely, guildmaster will often let the members decide on this issue.

  • Silent guild – not all guilds will be as socially active as you are expecting. Yes, there are 10 people online but no one is actually chatting/speaking, then it is pretty useless. The feeling will be empty and you wouldn’t want to stay there too long. It’s as if you are not in a guild.

  • Unhelpful members – this is somehow related to the guild being silent. Asking for help in a guild and you find yourself ignored because nobody wanted to help you by not responding, tendency is you will not ask for help any time soon or worse, never again. It will be fruitless on staying on such a guild

By determining the general “no’s” of a bad guild, we can easily define what a good guild is.

  • Organized – Guildmaster or someone who acts as manager of the guild that is good in managing and coordinating guild members on how things go, who belongs to which team, what raid will you try to finish this weekly lockout, etc.
  • Very social active guild – if you read the previous article, being a member of socially active guild is super fun. There is always a lovely greeting awaiting for you when you login, warm goodbyes if you’re going to logout and anything in between that, someone to speak to inside a guild makes it really good
  • Very helpful members – this is one of the essence of a guild. Guild members helping each other out in any way possible. From tips to actually running with you in dungeons and quests, you can get through MMO’s with very supportive guildmates

Now that you have an idea of what a good guild and a bad guild is, go find yourself one and enjoy Guild Wars 2 more!

GW2 Gold: Why Join a Guild

GW2 Gold: Why Join a Guild

Plan on not joining a guild in Guild Wars? Then go play something else! LOL! Kidding aside, it is kind of stupid not joining a guild in a game that has the word ‘guild’ in the title. And yes, it is almost necessary to join a guild in Guild Wars 2 or in any MMORPG actually. It is never a bad thing mingling with people or joining forces with them to take on late group challenges in Guild Wars 2. There are more benefits than disadvantages when it comes to joining a guild.

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: Benefits

First, it is never a dull moment knowing that whenever you login, you belong to a group of people to play or even just to socialize with. For hours without noticing, you will be finding yourself not killing anything in the game and realizing late that you are just having a good time talking to people in guild chat. No it’s not the same as chatting in general and most likely if you engage conversations in gen-chat, it will be full of hostility and anger. So yeah, guild chat conversations are going to be more enjoyable.

Aside from great talkfest, you get to have instant friends and companions in terms of finishing quests and raids. Guildmates are easier to develop chemistry with thus finishing challenges in record speed. This also applies in PvP. A premade group entering in PvP is way better than queueing solo and trying to jive with stranger teammates in an instant which is almost impossible. So yeah, joining a really good guild, team challenges will be a breeze.

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: Best Things in Life is Free

We’ve put the intangible benefits first since they are far more important than the tangibles. Though coming only in second, it is still nice to know that you get free in-game stuff like in-game currencies, crafted armors and weapons, potions and many more if you belong in a guild. Speaking about crafted stuff, there is always one member of a guild who loves crafting and gets satisfaction if he/she can provide all of those stuff for the guild. So yeah, most probably you will be a beneficiary of that once you belong to a guild

Again, joining a guild is never a bad idea and is always on the upside. Go find a good guild and make your Guild Wars 2 experience even better!

Guild Wars 2 Gold: Why Vets Will Love GW2

Guild Wars 2 Gold: Why Vets Will Love GW2

Guild Wars 2 is almost in its fourth year and although it has been running for a long time now, for sure, many veteran MMORPG players all over the world haven’t tried this game. Why is this so? Is it less appealing compared to the other MMORPG that those veterans are currently playing? Is it because it’s a “Buy To Play” game? Should be one of those.

Regardless as to why those veteran MMORPG players haven’t tried Guild Wars 2, they should give the game a chance. Let us provide some valid reasons why they should according to Supergamezeit from Reddit:

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: Reason 1

“No gear treadmill While games like World of Warcraft steadily increase item strength with each new patch, or raise the level cap with every new expansion, Guild Wars 2 does neither. Meaning, equipment never grows obsolete, so you’ll not be locked out of content because you never need to play catch-up.

This is a major benefit when considering that the two traditional modes of advancement in the MMORPG — PVE and PVP — each require a substantial time investment, but since you never fall behind the gear treadmill, you can indefinitely focus on both without any detriments. This feature, together with the none-existent subscription model, allows Guild Wars 2 to be picked up and played any time you need an MMO fix.”

True, a veteran player wouldn’t really want to find that his hard-earned gears will be obsolete on the next expansion or content release of the game. Definite plus point to a veteran.

guild wars 2 pvp

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold: Reason 2

“Low barrier of entry You’ll often hear MMO players excusing dull gameplay by suggesting that the real fun begins at the maximum level, omitting the fact that you must invest an additional number of tens of hours assembling the best in-slot equipment before you’re prepared to engage in endgame activities on a competitive level or make a contribution. This is not the case in Guild Wars 2 ; in fact, a full set of end-game equipment can be acquired within a few hours of hitting the level cap, permitting you to jump right in to everything.”

Yes, definitely agree to this. A veteran player upon reaching max level would be anxious to get his Best in Slot gears as fast as possible and with this said, Guild Wars 2 is definitely attractive.

Are you a veteran player and still not convinced? There are more reasons to come on the next article.

GW2 Gold: Guild Wars 2 Burnout

GW2 Gold: Guild Wars 2 Burnout

Playing MMORPG can be really time consuming. From creating a character, that can take you for hours alone to leveling, you will be spending a lot of time playing. Then after reaching the highest level, you will still play for the end game content such as raiding, moneymaking activities, PvP and even socializing. There is so much to do upon entering an MMORPG and for sure will eat up most of your time.

After doing all the stuff, spending all those time in an MMORPG, it is almost inevitable that you get burned out of it. Things get pretty repetitive and you begin to search for another game for new things to do. This is a sad but a reality to all MMORPG players, and also gaming companies. Game developers actually have a hard time keeping up with releasing new content as players play for multiple hours a day and finish content with lightning speed.

Buy Guild Wars 2 Gold: Before Going To Another Game

It is smart to research on an MMORPG first before registering and actually starting to play. Like this guy in Reddit. Before actually considering quitting Guild Wars 2, he posted a question in the Black Desert asking how it is compared to Guild Wars 2:

“Burned out on Guild Wars 2, will I like this? Or is is more of the same? Did really enjoy the PvP (WvW) side of it until Anet killed it off. How is the PvP in this game..what kind of numbers are we talking? Objectives to take etc? Would love to try it out but not willing to throw money in the toilet if I feel its the same deal. Thanks”

Bs1B3moIQAANjyp

Cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold

I feel for the guy because it is really frustrating to invest in a game (money and more importantly, time) that you will find yourself quitting for multiple reasons. It is either there is nothing more to do because you have done everything in the game or it just gets really boring. It is not really his fault in transferring to another game because it takes a lot of time for a player to get burned out with a game like Guild Wars 2.

Good thing Black Desert Online players have been accommodating in answering his post in Reddit and hopefully he tries the game but still ends up going back to Guild Wars 2. Fingers crossed on this one.

GW2 Gold: Taking a break from World of Warcraft with GW2

GW2 Gold: Taking a break from World of Warcraft with GW2

With the much awaited release of the new expansion of World of Warcraft this 2016, numerous players of the game take a break from it. It is either they do not log in World of Warcraft or look for another game while waiting for the release date this 2016. Is Guild Wars 2 a good “substitute” for a player who is heavy on the Player Versus Player side of MMORPG?

Player Vs. Player in Guild Wars 2

gw2

Like most of the Player versus Player options in MMORPG’s, Guild Wars 2 has instanced PvP and world PvP. The instanced PvP is where you battle in an arena with your pre-made group or randomly assembled team in queue. The world PvP is called WvW or World versus World meaning the three worlds (or servers) go into war against each other. Looks fun but comments say that World Versus World in Guild Wars 2 is a zerg battle. This means that the world with the highest number of participants most likely wins.

Buy Guild Wars 2 Gold for Player versus Player gear.

gw2.002

For a new player who wants to engage in player versus player battle in Guild Wars 2, you need to reach max level first for maximum enjoyment. Once reaching max level, it is time to gear up. For entry level PvP, one option is to wear crafted PvP gears. Either buy materials of the PvP gears and craft them or have someone else craft, or buy already crafted PvP from other players. If you don’t have time to grind for Guild Wars 2 Gold, you can buy cheap Guild Wars 2 Gold here.

Playing another game like Guild Wars 2 while waiting for World of Warcraft’s new expansion is not a bad idea. The most important thing is you enjoy every moment in every game.
